YOU WILL BE MISSED !
(8/17/82 - 11/22/06)
Only the good die young is truly exemplified with the unexpected and tragic loss of Terry Jr.
Terrance Bernard or Terry Jr. as he is known to us
was a good son, brother, friend and cricketer. Terry was a man of faith and
never missed his weekly mass.
Terry made his parents proud and his sister Deepa found a best friend and brother in Terry. There were no secrets between brother and sister, Terry was a friend in every way and to everyone possible. It is amazing that as each of his friends recall their relationship with Terry; we feel each of us had some special connection and bond with him. This is because Terry made us all feel special and always committed his full attention to each one of us.
Terry was always doing someone a favor and none of us remember him ever asking for a favor, this was not for lack of true friends but an indication of Terry’s resourcefulness. Another example of Terry’s resourcefulness, enterprising nature and ability to walk the talk was his accomplishment as a founder of Knights Cricket Club. Knights will miss their Treasurer and General Secretary in addition to a most consistent bowler, a batsman who the team could depend on and an occasional wicket keeper as and when the team requested it of him. Terry was our very best fielder; we lovingly called him Turbo for his agility, speed and strength with the ball on the field.
Even in death, Terry donated his heart to a young kid giving the child a chance at a good life. We are saddened by the departure of our friend but find solace in the knowledge his heart and it is bounty will live after him. We wish Terry’s family and friend’s strength in dealing with this terrible loss. We know Terry is in a good place and watches over us.
