Welcome to Knights Cricket Club.
I am Ravi Gunaratne, President and co-founder of this club. I was also the first captain for the club .
I am from Sri Lanka and lived in US for more than 15 years now. Since my younger days I had a great passion towards Cricket and always wanted to be part of a team that played competitive cricket. Year 2001 is when I started to playing cricket in the US. I started in California and then played for Prior Cricket Club, a well known club in Philadelphia Area. In 2006 my predecessor Manish Mandelia and I started Knights Crick Club with the help of Chaminda Gunaratne, Jay Basharmal and late Terrance Bernard. All shared the same passion for this game and we named the club "Knights Cricket Club" because of the saying "All for one, and one for all".
Knights Cricket Club is one of the young clubs in Philadelphia area. In short period of time it is one of the prestigious clubs in the area and currently holds about 20 active members. We always looking for new talent and always trying to improve the club. We participated in Philadelphia Cricket League for past four years and also hosted "Turbo Cup" for past three years.
Going forward we like to continue to grow as a club and be a big part of Philadelphia Cricket. I want to welcome all members to the club and wish you all the best.
